    Biorad Medisys gets new GCHRO in Ujjal Bhattacharjee

    Bhattacharjee moves from Vesuvius where he was most recently human resources director, foundry India and Southeast Asia

    After almost six years of association with Vesuvius, Ujjal Bhattacharjee has moved to Biorad Medisys, as group chief human resources officer.

    An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management, Bhattacharjee holds a master’s degree in personnel management from Savitribai Phule University Mumbai.

    He joined Fresenius Kabi as vice president-human resources, India, in May of 2007. Over three years into this role, he moved to GKN, where he started off as human resources director, in October 2010. Six years into this role, he was promoted to human resources director, India and South Africa (Cape Town). By the time he moved on from GKN, he had become managing director, VP India operations and HR director.

    Ujjal Bhattarcharjee’s next stop was Vesuvius, where he joined as president commissioner, PT Foseco Indonesia. Six months into this role, he was promoted to director, Foseco International (Thailand). Just over a year later, he was promoted to director, Vesuvius IT and shared services. By September of 2019, he was elevated to human resources director, foundry India and Southeast Asia.

    Bhattacharjee’s 25 years of experience across various sectors, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, off highway and chemicals, will stand him in good stead at Biorad Medisys, the medical equipment manufacturing firm.
