There has been a change in HR leadership at Axis Mutual Fund, with Meghna Gupta, who was head – HR, moving into a new role within the Axis Bank group, as SVP-relationship.

Himanshu Misra has been elevated, and will step into Gupta’s shoes as the new head-HR at Axis Mutual Funds.

“After serving for 13 long years in Axis AMC, the place has become a second home for me and employees my family. In the world of digitisation and digital transformation, I have always believed in maintaining the human touch and urge all to continue making Axis Mutual Fund a good place to work,” shares Gupta on social media.

Welcoming Misra in her place, Gupta writes, “While I leave for newer challenging opportunities within the group in Axis Bank, I also welcome my colleague Himanshu Misra into the role of head – human resources in Axis AMC and wish him all the best.”

Gupta carries more than two decades of experience in HR and has been working with the Axis brand for over 13 years and still continuing. In her two-decade long career, she has had extensive experience working in the banking sector. In the initial days of her career, she honed her skills in HR, working with banks such as ICICI and Kotak Mahindra.

Misra, on the other hand, is a diploma holder in personnel management and HR from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and has been with Axis Bank for over six years.

Before this elevation, he was the head of talent acquisition, rewards and head of HR for digital banking and retail lending and payments.

Backed by close to 17 years of experience in HR, Misra is an alumnus of Management Development Institute (MDI,) Gurgaon. He started his career as an HR manager with FIS,  where he worked for over a year.

Prior to joining Axis Bank in 2015, Misra worked with Citi Bank as a vice president-compensation and benefits for over three years.

During his career, he has also worked with the ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, managing compensation and benefits.
