Signify, the global lighting company, known for smart, connected LED lighting systems, software and services, has elevated Irani Srivastava Roy to head of HR – Greater India & emerging markets.
Roy had been serving as chief human resources officer at the company since 2022.
An alumna of IMI Delhi, Irani Srivastava Roy began her career in the hospitality space. She served as manager at Indian Hotels, Taj Hotels for two years before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as consultant, in 2001.
From 2002 to 2006, she served as regional HR head-wholesale and non retail business at HDFC Bank, working out of Mumbai.
Her next stop was Royal Bank of Scotland Business where she served as vice president-HR, business partner-retail and commercial bank, India, in 2006. For the next six years, she was responsible for end to end HR strategy and employee initiatives for the verticals that she handled nationally.
India Mortgage Guarantee Corporation roped her in for the role of vice president and head-HR and communications, in 2012. This role saw her working out of London, UK, setting up the people framework for the firm.
September of 2015 saw her moving to Accenture to be part of the Strategy Talent and Organisation Consulting practice, specialising in operating models and organisation design, HR transformation and change in M&A scenarios. This role was also based out of London.
Almost three years later, Roy was back in India to play EVP, head of distribution HR and diversity and inclusion at Max Life Insurance, in August of 2018.
Four years into this role, she was offered the role of CHRO at Signify.
Now, post her elevation, she will continue to strengthen the company’s people strategy and high-performance culture among other responsibilities.
