POWERCON, an IndoGerman JV with BAXEnergy and a renewable energy asset construction & operations company, has appointed Deepika Chavan as its new chief people officer.
Chavan comes with over two decades of experience, having begun her professional journey with Monster, as associate-client relations, in 2004. After training over 100 clients on Monster portal optimisation, and streamlining the profile screening process for recruiters for almost a year and a half, she moved to Maestro Trade Link, as business head-recruitments.
Her next stop was Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management where she served as senior coordinator-placements and training, working out of Nasik for over two years.
She successfully led end-to-end campus hiring, looking into corporate relations, alumni engagement, student counselling, trainer coordination and placement systems from 2010 to 2012.
VA Tech Wabag appointed her SBU HR where she led the full HR lifecycle for SBU, from recruitment to exits, for two years and ten months.
May of 2015 saw her joining Sula Vineyards to handle plant HR. Till January of 2017, she led the full-spectrum of HR operations for the manufacturing plant with a team of five HR professionals.
Her association with POWERCON Ventures India began in May of 2017 when she took up the role of human resources manager. For over four years, she led pan-company HR strategy implementation across group entities. She also designed and deployed end-to-end HR policies and lifecycle processes.
From June 2021 to May 2024, Deepika Chavan served ITCube Solutions as human resources manager, architecting employee experiences, culture transformation and employer branding among other responsibilities.
May 2024 saw her moving to Tekdi Technologies as senior manager-people and culture.
She is now back with POWERCON for a second stint, tasked with driving culture transformation, digital HR innovation, and leadership capability building.
