Flipkart’s Kapil Vardhan joins Teachmint as CHRO

Teachmint, an education infrastructure provider has announced the appointment of Kapil Vardhan as its new CHRO. He will play a crucial role in building great teams at Teachmint and giving a competitive edge to the Company in the industry.

Prior to this, Vardhan was the head of HR at Flipkart for its tech vertical where he spent almost five years strengthening the Company’s engineering, product and design teams across multiple business groups.

Vardhan carries more than two decades of experience in HR working in diverse businesses.

Vardhan admits that “There is no better time to be at Teachmint” and is “excited to kickstart, contribute and co-create with my fellow Teachmates”.

He shares that “Teachmint truly stands out by innovating across the fundamental infrastructure on which education rests globally”.

He realises that this will require “a very unique skillset and competency level and I am excited to help the organisation expand and strengthen it”. After completing his MBA in HR, Vardhan started his career as an HR executive with Asian Paints, where he was able to get an opportunity to understand the organisational process and some key elements of driving change in an organisation.

After three years working at Asian Paints, Vardhan joined GE as HR manager at the John F Welch Technology Centre, where played the role of being the HR business partner for the GE technology centre’s engineers and scientists.

Vardhan went on spend 10 years with the Company leading HR for different businesses at GE such as oil and gas and energy. His last position with GE was as APAC HR leader for GE Energy.

Post GE, Vardhan decided to join Petrofac, a provider of oilfield services to the oil and Gas industry where he joined as global human resource director.

Two years later, Vardhan moved into another role at Petrofac as director-L&D where he was responsible for global L&D and talent strategy function. Vardham also spent two years at Honeywell India where he was the HR director, leading the HR function for Honeywell Automation India.

As per the Company, Teachmint is planning to hire people in tech, product, design and business operation roles. It has also started a fully gamified and productised employee referral programme to attract like-minded people.
