    Manyavar-Mohey elevates Kanchan Banerjee as CHRO

    Vedant Fashions, which owns Manyavar-Mohey, the ethnic wear brand, has promoted Kanchan Banerjee to the position of chief human resources officer (CHRO). In her new role, Banerjee will lead the people strategy and primarily be responsible for succession planning, talent management, change management, organisational development and performance management. Banerjee had joined Vedant Fashions in 2020 as head of human resources and administration.

    Backed by an experience of close to 16 years.She started her career in the telecom sector, working for Airtel where she served for close to five years as engagement manager. After this, she decided to pursue a postgraduate degree in human resource management and personnel administration from XLRI Jamshedpur.

    After obtaining her master’s degree, Banerjee joined Vodafone as a human resource manager. In her five an half-year long stint at Vodafone, she also saw a promotion and took up the role of a senior HR manager in the Company.

    Moving on from Vodafone, Banerjee joined Wipro as HR business partner. There, she was responsible for handling various aspects of human resources. It was in 2018 that Banerjee joined the Trident Group as the head of talent management. After almost a year, and before joining Vedant Fashions, she spent a year at Vikram Solar as head of HR for corporate functions.
