After a successful six-year long association with Rakuten-India, Nalini George has moved to Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) as chief human resources officer (CHRO).

George’s human resource journey began with a three-year stint at LG Soft India from 1997 to 2000. March of 2000 saw her joining STAR TV as manager-human resources.

From January 2002 to October 2006, she played director at Infolabs. Her next stop was Tesco, as leader for a little less than five years.

In August of 2011, she moved to CGI, as director-human resources. This stint lasted over six years.

It was in 2018 that she joined Rakuten, India as chief people officer/head of HR. In this capacity, she seamlessly integrated ventures into Rakuten’s portfolio, embodying a growth-driven approach. She successfully oversaw substantial growth in the people function and redefined HR as a strategic business enabler. Her responsibilities extended to crucial departments including information technology (IT), facilities, corporate communications, and travel and immigration, reflecting a holistic approach to organisational leadership.

George possesses an MBA in international business, from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Given that she is backed by over two decades of strong industry experience, working across multiple cultures including India, Japan, USA, UK, Canada and Korea, Nalini George is definitely capable of shaping organisational strategies and driving innovation.

HRKatha is confident that as an outcome-driven leader, George’s adaptability and resilience will stand her in good stead in her new assignment at Bangalore International Airport.
