Nirbhik Goel has joined the Oberoi Group as the EVP-HR and will be leading the HR operations in the company. Prior to this, Goel was based in the Greater New York City area, serving as the global human resource business partner at AIG.
With this movement, Goel’s life has now come a full circle because he started his career with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, in 1991 and worked with the Group for seven years. His last position here was that of head of training and hotel manager.
An alumnus of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Goel comes with a total experience of 28 years in the HR function.
After honing his skills in training and development at the Oberoi, Goel joined GE Capital as the AVP- training and development for about two years. Goel then moved to TATA AIG General Insurance as the VP-HR and regional director for training and development.
Post this, Goel also worked with Hyatt as the VP-HR, South West Asia for five years, shifting his base to Dubai in 2007.
Goel also served as the managing director, group head of human resources at Barclays India, for close to four years before moving to New York in 2016.
