Indian hospitality company, Oravel Stays, or OYO, has been making some key changes of late. The most recent one has been the appointment of Siddarth Tyagi as its new HR director.

Tyagi will be in charge of talent acquisition at OYO International, and will be reporting to Ashish Banga, head-HR, OYO International.

Prior to his new assignment in the hospitality business, Tyagi was senior manager-talent acquisition at the digital business transformation firm, Publicis Sapient, for five years. With an MBA in HR, Tyagi has held talent acquisition and recruitment roles in several companies, such as Nucleus Software Exports, Global Logic and Evalueserve, in the past.

Not long ago, OYO, with its game-changing strategies in the hospitality sector, had appointed Aditya Ghosh as its CEO for the South Asia region. Ghosh, who was formerly president and whole time director of IndiGo Airlines for 10 years before joining OYO. Also, OYO appointed Sam Shih as COO for the China market.

Founded by Ritesh Agarwal in 2013, OYO has been expanding its operations across the world at an extraordinary pace. The Company is operating in more than 500 cities across India, China, Malaysia, Nepal, the UK, UAE and Indonesia. OYO recently bought Amsterdam-based vacation rental business, @Leisure Group for €369.5 million. With this acquisition Oyo will be able to improve its presence in the short-term property rental space. Given the fact that more and more tourists are opting for private properties rather than hotel rooms, this has been a very smart move for OYO. @Leisure has about 30,000 holiday homes across 13 European countries, and has an addition 85,000 listed on its online booking platform.
