Achraya holds immense experience in hiring tech talent

Paypal India has hired Priti Acharya as the new director & India head of talent acquisition. She will lead the talent-acquisition strategy for Paypal India, relying on her two decades long professional experience.

Acharya has moved from Falabella, a multinational firm which owns chains of departmental stores, globally. At Falabella, she headed talent acquisition as well as campus and lateral hiring activities.

After completing her graduation and post graduation in English Literature, Acharya commenced her career as a communicative English trainer. Five years into the field, Acharya decided to make a career change and entered the area of recruitment when she decided to join Magna Infotech, an IT staffing and recruitment company, which is part of Quess Corp.

At Magna, she gained experience and honed her skills in IT and tech hiring. She worked with Magna for three years and served her last position as a team lead.

She moved on from Magna, to join Target as talent-acquisition specialist, managing the hiring of UI designers and tech developers for mobile technology and the creative design team. She also recruited people for analytics and business services at the firm.

During her career, Acharya got the opportunity to work for Dell for almost two years, in a talent-acquisition role. This provided her experience in hiring people for leadership positions, such as senior executives and directors.

It was in 2012 that she joined Goldman Sachs, where she spent more than six years. She served her last position as the VP for talent acquisition and was responsible for leading talent acquisition strategies for five different divisions of the firm. Acharya has also worked for AQR Capital Management, an investment management firm, and headed the talent acquisition strategy for the Company, specifically for hiring tech talent.

In addition to her immense experience in hiring tech talent across industries, Acharya is also known for her skills in building high-performing teams.
