FirstClub Technology has appointed Sonika Pranay as head of people & culture, as the quality-first grocery platform strengthens its leadership team and scales its people and culture agenda. In her new role, she will lead FirstClub’s People & Culture function, focusing on talent and leadership development, high-performing teams and organisational culture.

Her mandate will be to work with the leadership team as the company scales its workforce and builds its organisational capabilities for the next phase of growth.

Pranay brings over 15 years of HR experience, with a career spanning the Flipkart Group and cure.fit (cult.fit).

Prior to joining FirstClub, Pranay was director – HR at SuperMoney (Flipkart Group). She previously served as HR head at Cleartrip and deputy director – people & culture (human capital) at Myntra, both part of the Flipkart Group. Earlier, she was strategic HR lead at cure.fit (cult.fit).

Across these roles, Pranay has worked across talent management, HR business partnering, rewards, organisational design and people culture in high-growth consumer and technology businesses.

Commenting on the appointment, Ayyappan R, founder and CEO, FirstClub, said, “As FirstClub scales, our people and culture will be as central to our success as our product. Sonika brings deep, varied experience building high-performing teams and people-first cultures at some of India’s most respected consumer and tech companies. We’re delighted to have her on board to help shape FirstClub’s next chapter.”

Speaking on her appointment, Pranay said, “At FirstClub, we have a real opportunity to build a culture that puts people at the heart of our growth story. My focus is on strengthening our teams, developing leaders at every level, and creating an environment where everyone can do their best work as we scale. I’m excited to partner with the team to shape what comes next.”

Pranay holds an MBA in Human Resources from NMIMS.
