    Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has announced the appointment of Raj Kumar Dubey as director (human resources).

    An alumnus of NIT Allahabad, Dubey is backed by over three decades of industry experience in , business and human capital development.

    Dubey, who joined IOCL in 2001 as senior manager (HRD), had been leading training and development till recently as chief manager (T&D). He also holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the International Centre for Promotion of Enterprises, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

    Throughout his career, Dubey has implemented several strategic organisational development initiatives and change-management processes that have influenced over 400 locations and more than 7,500 people. Not only has he worked closely with international consultants in the areas of organisation restructuring, visioning and HR planning, but he has successfully led several leadership positions and concluded various critical and challenging assignments across various business verticals such as aviation, operations, HR, and retail in and across different regions.

    He is credited with making the fuel retailing channel more customer centric, by pioneering the marketing of differentiated products and premium fuels to great heights.

    Bharat Petroleum, the Indian oil marketing company, is a Fortune 500 company and one of the leading integrated energy companies in India, engaged in refining of crude oil and marketing of petroleum products, with a significant presence in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. Having attained the Maharatna status, it has become a part of the elite group of organisations enjoying greater operational and financial autonomy.

    Bharat Petroleum’s refineries at Mumbai, Kochi and Bina have a combined refining capacity of around 35.3 MMTPA.
