Standard Chartered Bank has elevated Nina Lee as the global head of people capability, innovation & insights. She will continue to also shoulder the responsibilities of the head of people capability for Asia at Standard Chartered, as she had been doing before the promotion.

For Lee, this promotion comes within a short span of a year. She joined Standard Chartered Bank in July 2020. Prior to that she was working with BSH Home Appliances Group, where she spent three years.

Before BSH Home Appliances, Lee was with Accenture as a human capital management consultant for the Greater China region. Her tenure with Accenture lasted five years. She has also worked with Bank of America for a year in an APAC regional learning role, and Goldman Sachs, for less than a year in a similar role.

Although she has a little experience in the FMCG and the hospitality industries as well, Lee has spent the major part of her career in the BFSI sector. A seasoned HR leader, she focuses on aligning people and organisational development with corporate objectives. She believes in building and sustaining an HR organisation with progressive digital initiatives, clear governance and lean processes.

Having worked in multiple countries in APAC, Lee has diverse cultural experience. This postgraduate in HRM and training, from the University of Leicester, has spent time in countries, such as New Zealand, Hong Kong, Britain, Switzerland and Mainland China at different points in her career.
