After a two-year stint with Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Sunil Singh has stepped down from the position of CHRO at the Company.

Singh, who has almost 20 years of experience in diverse sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, exploration, drilling, EPC, construction, telecom and IT, has clearly justified his leadership skills, by managing large-scale transformational change and diversified workforces at various organisations.

During his tenure at Cadila, he  helped revamp the Company’s existing HR organisational structure. Cadila’s Annual Strategy Conference in 2019 lead to the creation of a successful five-year road map for the future. The transformation agenda that emerged thus resulted in the GPTW certification in February 2020. Singh was also responsible for the development of a comprehensive HR transformational road map for the Company’s speedy growth.

He catalysed the Leadership Development Programme for the core committee members at IIM Ahmedabad.

“The journey at Cadila Pharmaceuticals has been a fascinating challenge with lots of firsts for Cadila…#HappyShift (an initiative to shift to a happy workplace), #AzadSoch (an initiative to foster ideas and innovation at each level), extensive leadership development programme for senior management in partnership with IIMA leadership programmes, creation of strategy roadmaps, and so on,” Singh shares with HRKatha.

Other than the pharmaceutical sector, Singh is known for his noteworthy stints with big names, such as Reliance Industries, Punj Lloyd, Gulf Oil Corporation and SASKEN Communication Technology.

When asked about his future plans, Singh stated that, “In my next phase of life I am starting as founder & CEO of Mindstream Consulting, which is a group of thought leaders, academicians and industry experts who are tied together by the glue of passion and ‘people first’ philosophy.”

A PhD holder from IIM Bangalore, Singh has authored several books and multiple articles in global and national journals. He has gained expertise in conducting research in the areas of national culture, leadership, career anchors, socialisation, proactive behaviour, employee engagement, innovation and loss of embeddedness.
