Urban Company has promoted Chetna Wadhwa to director – rewards & people excellence. She had joined the tech-driven online marketplace that connects users with trained and certified professionals for home and personal care services in 2022, as senior manager-rewards and people excellence. Over two and a half years into this role she had been elevated to associate vice president-rewards and people excellence.

After interning with IBM and Cisco, Chetna Wadhwa began her professional journey with Samsung India Electronics, as an engineer. Then, she completed a PGP in Human Resources Management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon before joining Eli Lilly & Company as an intern. Soon after, she interned with Novartis and Asian Paints before joining RIVIGO as lead-performance, rewards and HR transformation. She spent over four and a half years there, designing and deploying a transparent, scalable organisational performance philosophy. She also implemented and optimised the Darwinbox HRMS, digitising the complete “hire-to-retire” employee lifecycle to elevate the user experience and drive high adoption.

Known to be a meticulous, detail-oriented and self-aware individual, her go-getter attitude will continue to be an asset to Urban Company.

In her elevated position, she will be tasked with leading the company’s rewards and people-excellence initiatives, HR-transformation endeavours, and organisational-effectiveness measures with a focus on improving the overall employee experience.

HRKatha congratulates Chetna Wadhwa on her promotion and wishes her all the best!
