YES BANK has appointed Archana Shiroor as the designate chief human resources officer (CHRO). She will be succeeding Mr. Anurag Adlakha, who is set to retire in June 2023. Shiroor has over three decades of experience in the field of human resources (HR) and is a highly skilled leader and has held key HR positions in various companies.

In her new role, Shiroor will be responsible for overseeing the Bank’s HR operations and will play a crucial role in implementing the bank’s people strategy. She will work closely with Mr. Adlakha to ensure a seamless transition, and collaborate with the senior leadership team to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing individuals, while fostering a culture of excellence.

Shiroor was previously the head of HR for retail branch banking, government, and institutional banking at HDFC Bank, where she managed a workforce of more than 55,000 employees. Her responsibilities included overseeing talent acquisition, regional HR teams, and employee relations for the bank.

Prior to her tenure at HDFC Bank, Shiroor held senior HR positions at several other major financial institutions, including Barclays, the Tata Group, and Development Credit Bank (DCB)

Expressing his delight and greetings on Shiroor’s appointment, Prashant Kumar, MD & CEO, YES BANK said, “With her experience and expertise in human resources management, I am confident that she will play an instrumental role in driving our people strategy and continue to build on our company culture.”

Shiroor holds a master’s degree in personnel management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. Along with an extensive experience in banking and financial services sector, her expertise includes managing large-scale transformations, and cultivating cultural objectives.
