The office will serve as the business continuity site and also strengthen the company’s design and innovation division.

The cultural capital of Maharashtra will soon boast of a new India office of Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), one of the world’s leading providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits-related advice, brokerage and associated services. This office at Pune will be started with an initial workforce of 300 and will help in providing services to the JLT Group’s global employee benefits business, as well as support the Group with applications development services.

With the growth of the city’s infrastructure and a positive business environment, Pune has emerged as a favourable choice for many organisations. JLT India’s CEO, Puneet Satyawadi, also believes that the city will continue to rise to prominence.

JLT India was established in Mumbai as the global shared services centre for the JLT Group, in May 2007, offering access to local talent and expertise in order to improve cost and operational efficiency. The Pune office will aim to strengthen design and innovation and will also function as the business continuity site for JLT India. The growing employee benefits practices and increasing scope in applications development services, with a focus on mobile applications and other software solutions, is the driving force behind this expansion.
