The speech recognition solutions company with offices in the Philippines and UAE, has 80 employees spread across all locations.

Uniphore Software Systems, a Chennai-based speech recognition solutions company is planning to set up base in Bengaluru. The company will need to hire massively to run the Bengaluru operations. It plans to beef up its team strength by 100 professionals in the next 15 months.

Uniphore, a startup incubated at IIT Chennai, presently has offices in the Philippines and the UAE as well, with a current workforce strength of around 80 employees spread across all locations.

The Bengaluru office will accommodate teams dedicated to research and development, business development, consumer technology and professional services.

Sanjeev Gadre, chief marketing officer & senior VP-HR, Uniphore Software Systems, says, “Bengaluru is a natural progression for any technology company. The people and the ecosystem are very conducive to startup growth and young companies thrive in this Silicon Valley of the East.”

Expanding across markets, Uniphore is rapidly establishing a foothold in Singapore, the Philippines and UAE, emerging as one of the few companies dedicatedly working on speech technologies.

Recently, the company also appointed Douglas Peris as general manager-Asia Pacific & Middle East, so that we simultaneously work towards expanding our business in both the regions,” says Ravi Saraogi, co-founder and COO, Uniphore Software Systems.
