Each and every student of the 2017-19 batch of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi has bagged a job offer this placement season. Rs 23.3 lakh has been offered as the average salary this year, whereas last year it was just Rs 21 lakh. There has been an 18 per cent increase in the average salary of women. While it was 21.3 lakh per annum for the previous batch, this year it rose to Rs 25.1 lakh.
The top 100 students of the batch bagged an average stipend of Rs 27 lakh per annum this year, whereas the previous batch got Rs 26 lakh per year.
Maximum roles were offered in e-commerce, IT and operations — 140 per cent more than last year. Fifty-four candidates bagged irresistible offers from Amazon, Uber, Paytm and Microsoft. Almost a fourth of the candidates accepted positions in sales and marketing. The participating companies at the placement drive included Nestle, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), ITC, Reckitt Benckiser, BMW and Google among others.
210 offer letters were given to the total of 198 students who signed up for the placement drive
The Faculty of Management Studies is affiliated with the University of Delhi and offers postgraduate and doctorate-level programmes in different specialisations.
