    Vikas Gupta joins Adda247 as chief people officer

    Vikas Gupta, former head-HR and admin with profit centre responsibility, Beaniebugs Retail’s India operation, has now moved to Adda247. Here, he has taken on the role of Chief people officer with effect from 1 April.

    Gupta will be leading 300 plus employees at Adda247, which is an edutech startup that offers a test-preparation platform for students preparing for exams, such as banking, railways, insurance, defence and more. He will be leading their HR and admin functions.

    Earlier, Gupta was with Beaniebugs for three years and has also worked in companies, such as Fareportal, Spice Digital, Serco, Reliance Communications, and Wipro over the last 18 years.

    He comes with expertise in HR leadership, business strategy and operations in domestic and international markets. Moreover, his portfolio consists of varied experiences across industries.

    “I have always been interested in IT and that is why I worked with Fareportal. At Beaniebugs also, I was looking at their online business. Integrating AI in data analytics, chatbot, AR, VR.”

    Having worked in the online business sector extensively, Gupta has expertise in managing people in the online business. He Is excited about leading India’s largest learning and testing portal for competitive exams for government jobs.

    Adda247 is planning an IPO, and Gupta’s responsibility will be to double the employee count and take the company’s growth onto the fast lane. He will be focusing on evoking an organic growth and developing a robust culture.
