    FedEx elevates Rumana Rahman as VP-HR, APAC & MEISA

    FedEx has promoted Rumana Rahman as vice president-human resources, APAC & MEISA, expanding her leadership responsibilities across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, India and Sub-Saharan Africa regions. In her new role, Rahman will lead the HR agenda across APAC and MEISA, focusing on talent management, leadership development, workforce planning, employee experience and organisational capability building.

    Prior to this appointment, she served as vice president-human resources, APAC, FedEx, providing strategic HR leadership across the Asia-Pacific region.

    Before joining FedEx, Rahman spent nearly 25 years with British American Tobacco, where she held several senior HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as regional head-HR Asia Pacific & Middle East, leading people strategy and supporting business transformation across multiple markets. She also served as regional head-talent, culture and inclusion for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, driving leadership development, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and culture initiatives across the region.

    Earlier in her career at BAT, she was head-HR for Bangladesh and regional HR planning & reporting manager for Asia Pacific, in addition to holding various roles across talent management, compensation and benefits, and HR business partnering.

    Rahman brings extensive experience in HR strategy, employee relations, performance management, talent development and change management, having led people initiatives across diverse cultures and geographies.

    She completed The Mastered Programme in Executive and Leadership Coaching from Meyler Campbell in 2024.

    Her appointment reflects FedEx’s continued focus on strengthening people leadership and building a future-ready workforce across its international operations.
