Infosys has announced that it will hire 1000 employees in the UK in the next three years, to support Britain’s economic growth.
The new hires will work on cutting-edge innovations in the digital space, including cloud computing, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, open-source technologies and enterprise services, to help large global organisations in their digital journeys. The Company will provide critical training and mentoring opportunities for the fresh hires.
New entrants will join the workforce at Infosys’ design studio in Shoreditch, its innovation centre in Canary Wharf, and at its proximity centres in Nottingham and other client locations across the UK.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson believes that this is Infosys’ “vote of confidence in the UK and its technology sector” and the investment will boost growth in the tech space, creating jobs for the future.
The Company will hire from the campuses and universities of the UK to ensure upskilling of future leaders in the industry and benefit from a diverse talent pool. The Company will also take on experienced professionals from the tech space, who can support local businesses in their digital journeys and lead the future workforce.
As Salil Parekh, CEO, Infosys, rightly put it, Infosys is committed to supporting the UK in both “recovery and growth through digital acceleration, hiring new talent, and supporting the development and reskilling of existing talent to meet evolving economic demands.”
