Fluor Corporation, a global engineering and construction firm has elevated Tracey Cook to the position of chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Cook joined Fluor in 1989 and has served in various roles in finance and operations over the years. In June of 2021 she was promoted to vice president-corporate mergers and acquisitions/president equipment division. In 2023 she was again promoted to vice president-HR strategic business partner-segments.
An alumna of the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, Tracey Cook spent over two decades with AMECO, a business line of Fluor Corp.
For over six years, from 2002 to 2009, she was chief financial officer (CFO). Then for about three and a half years she served as regional operations executive, North America and Caribbean.
January of 2012 saw her taking on the role of executive director, corporate enterprise services. In 2013, she was promoted to the role of vice president, global operations-COO. By 2014, she was elevated to president.
Since November of 2018, Tracey Cook has been director, Astec Industries. She has also been director, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce since 2023.
Her CHRO assignment at Fluor begins with effect from 7 April 2025.
David E Constable, chairman and chief executive officer, Fluor, is reportedly relying on Cook’s finance and business experience, as well as her ability to lead HR in accordance with the company’s growth plans.
Fluor is headquartered in Irving, Texas, and provides professional and technical solutions across various sectors, including energy and chemicals, industrial and infrastructure, government, and power.
In India, it has presence in Haryana and Gujarat.
