Waterfield Advisors, a multi-family office and wealth-advisory firm, has appointed Saurabh Arora as managing director (MD) and chief of human resources. Arora was earlier serving as director and head of HR, India at Russell Investments.

An alumnus of Symbiosis Law School and Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Saurabh Arora began his professional journey with American Express, as senior analyst-cardmember disputes, in 2002. Two years later, he served as an intern at JPMorgan Chase and later joined full time as team leader, HR business partner, by November 2005.

In May of 2007, Saurabh Arora moved to Morgan Stanley and stayed on with the organisation for over 17 years. During his tenure, he served as vice president, human resources in 2015, for about five months, and by the time he moved on, he had attained the position of executive director, human resources.

March of 2015 saw Saurabh Arora taking up the role of vice president, human resources, Morgan Stanley, working out of Hong Kong. Five months into this role he was elevated to executive director, human resources.

Arora’s next stop was Russell Investments, in July of 2024.

In his latest assignment at Waterfield, Arora will oversee the firm’s human resources strategy including organisational development, recruitment, retention and performance management. He will be responsible for shaping a future-ready HR ecosystem, and aligning talent strategies with Waterfield’s vision to become a high-performing, agile and values-driven organisation. His deep expertise will aid in employer branding and change management, and also attract, engage and retain top talent across all levels.

Soumya Rajan, founder and CEO, Waterfield Advisors, is confident that Arora’s “experience perfectly complements our client-first philosophy and will help us build a strong, progressive and inclusive work environment that prioritises our people and propels the group towards its ambitious future. Together, we aim to build a strong best-in-class employer brand in the family office and wealth-advisory space.”

Saurabh Arora considers it a “great honour to be part of this extraordinary organisation,” and looks forward to “working closely with the senior management team, colleagues, clients and partners to continue to build a world class franchise.”
