After a five-year long association with Greenply Industries, Manish Bhatia has moved to Safari Industries to take on the role of chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Armed with an MBA in Human Resources, Bhatia served as assistant manager-HR at Bombay Dyeing from 2002 to 2004. He then moved to Arvind Brands as HR manager from February of 2004 to June of 2006.
His next stop was Delphi Automotive Systems where he served as HR leader, based out of Bangalore for over three and a half years.
The year 2010 saw him begin a long association with VIP Industries. He entered the organisation as senior manager-HR, in January of 2010. Just over a two years into this role, he was elevated to DGM-HR. Barely a year later, he was promoted to head-corporate HR.
From June 2014 to December 2016, he served as general manager and head-corporate HR. He then headed CPC sales for about seven months before being promoted to channel head-CSD & CPC.
Another promotion in 2018 made him business head-institutional trades. By the time he moved on from VIP in 2020, he had reached the position of business head-institutional trades and ecommerce.
It was in December of 2020 that he joined Greenply Industries as CHRO-EVP HR.
Now, he will be serving Safari Industries in a similar capacity and will be responsible for leading the company’s people and culture agenda. His focus is expected to be on building a high-performance organisation in line with the goals of the luggage manufacturing and trading company.
HRKatha wishes him all the best!
