FACE Prep, an Indian placement-focused skill-development company for job preparation, has elevated Arumugam Vadivelu to vice president-talent acquisition.

He has been with the company since 2016, having joined as a manager-human resources. Just over two years into this role, he was promoted to manager (talent acquisition and management) a role that saw him relocate from Coimbatore to Bengaluru. In 2019, he was promoted to manager (HR operations and strategy).

Another promotion came along in September of 2020, making him senior manager (HR operations and strategy). In November of 2021, he was appointed HR business partner. Now, over four and a half years later, he has reached the position of vice president (talent acquisition).

Arumugam, who holds a PGDM in Human Resources, also holds a master’s degree in Psychology.

He began his career as a support analyst at iOPEX Technologies, in 2013. He interned with Focus Academy for Career Enhancement (FACE) for a while in May of 2015. Later he was absorbed into the workforce and has stayed on ever since.

Known for his ability to take on challenges and problems head on, Arumugam Vadivelu will now lead end-to-end talent acquisition, with primary focus on establishing a scalable hiring engine in line with FACE Prep’s goals and expansion plans.

His past experience in the areas of HR operations, talent management and organisational strategy will definitely hold him in good stead in his elevated position at FACE Prep.

HRKatha congratulates Arumugam Vadivelu on his promotion and wishes him all the best!
