The Telangana government’s Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana (DEET) has tied up with women’s incubator WE Hub to organise a job fair for women job seekers at the Dr BR Ambedkar Open University Campus on 8 August, 2024. More than 4,000 women have already registered for the job fair, which will begin at 9 a.m. Among the participating recruiters are big brands such as IKEA, HDFC Bank, MedPlus, Tata Motors, Max, Reliance Nippon Life Insurance and GoPizza. Women seeking jobs can meet recruiters and hiring managers and explore various job options available, and even bag offers immediately.
In Kerala, Government Cyberpark and the Calicut Forum for Information Technology (CAFIT) are tying up to organise ‘Reboot 24’ in Kozhikode on 17 August. The objective is to offer an opportunity to job-seeking talent to connect with employers who need their services. The event will be held at the Calicut Trade Centre, and will see about 100 companies participating. It is expected that about 1,500 jobs will be on offer from companies in the information technology (IT). The event will also offer job opportunities in the Gulf region and facilitate B2B interactions. The event is being organised in association with Future Lab, Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission, E-store and Ticket for Events, as per The Hindu. The number of attendees is expected to touch 20,000.
Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, the Begumpet Job Mela was held near the Begumpet Police Station recently, organised by Deccan Blasters, a voluntary organisation of Hyderabad. Till date, this fair has managed to help at least 15,000 youth find jobs. On-the spot offers were also made by about 60 participating companies. The jobs on offer were in the areas of digital marketing, logistics, banking, accountancy and so on.
