Backed by 18 years of experience, Maheshwari, who holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, worked for Tata Administrative Services for a year in the initial phase of his career journey.

His longest stint was with Tata Realty and Infrastructure, where he joined as manager, in 2007. A year later, he was elevated to AGM-business development. In this position, he was involved in evaluating opportunities, negotiations and closure of transactions across India. Another promotion came by in 2010, which lifted him to the position of DGM-business development for three years.

By 2013, he had been elevated to head-business development, responsible for growth of the real-estate vertical. His key areas of focus included deal sourcing, negotiations, due diligence, deal closure and fund raising for the vertical. From 2014 to 2019, he served as head-real estate for the company.
