Jindal Steel has brought on board Afrin Noor as vice president – talent & strategy.

Afrin Noor arrives with over 20 years of expertise in HR business partnering, talent management and organisational design. Before moving to Jindal she was with Honeywell, where she spent 16 years (from June 2020 to April 2026) and rose to HR director for building automation across India, ASEAN, and East Asia. There she oversaw HR for a $600 million portfolio spanning nine countries and over 3,000 employees. Earlier, Honeywell roles included HR director for building technologies India, HR leader for buildings & safety and productivity solutions, and HR leader for security and fire in Asia Pacific. She joined the company as an HR manager in 2010.

Noor started her career at Tata Steel in Jamshedpur, serving for more than seven years until April 2010. As the senior manager business HR, she managed the full HR lifecycle for corporate services such as legal, medical services, security, aviation, and CSR, along with direct-report functions including vigilance, corporate audit, and M&A. She also handled industrial relations, manpower planning, and incentive design for sinter plant 3 and sinter plant 4.

An alumna of Xavier Institute of Social Services, Ranchi, with a Master’s in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, and Patna Women’s College with a BA in English Honours, the appointment of Afrin Noor signals Jindal Steel’s continued investment in talent excellence and leadership frameworks.

We at HRKatha wish her all the best as she puts on a new cap!
