    Alok Verma elevated as director HR, Hindustan Aeronautics

    Alok Verma, who was general manager HR has been elevated to the position of director HR at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

    HAL is an Indian state-owned aerospace and defence company headquartered in Bangalore, India. It is governed under the management of the Indian Ministry of Defence. Verma carries an experience of three decades in HR.

    Verma has taken over as the director HR from 1 st January, 2020. Prior to this appointment, Verma was the general manager HR at the corporate office. He carries an experience of 30 years in HR. Verma joined HAL in 2006 as a deputy general manager HR after working for National Fertilizers Limited for 19 years.

    Commenting on his appointment, Verma says, “In these challenging times my focus would be on developing the HR function as a strategic contributor to business outcomes with new initiatives.”

    Verma was instrumental in transforming the employee-management relations at Hyderabad division and played a key-role in settlement of the workmen wage revision.

    Verma completed his postgraduate in Labor and Social Work (LSW) from Patna University.  He also holds a Law degree (LLB) from Jiwaji University and PG diploma in computer applications from Punjab Technical University.
