After three years with Sona Cornstar, as head-HR, driveline business, Arunima Mohanty joined Metalman Auto in a similar capacity, to drive HR innovation and organisational growth.
Mohanty has completed an MBA in HR from Ambedkar University and an executive programme in HR Analytics from XLRI Jamshedpur.
She began her professional journey as a senior HR executive with the Environmental Engineering Group, in 2004. Two years later, she moved to Gabriel India, as senior executive-HR and was soon elevated to manager-L&D.
Arunima Mohanty’s next stop was Jay Bharat Maruti, where she served as business lead-learning, leadership and talent development, for two years.
February of 2012 saw Mohanty accepting the role of head-talent strategist, at National Engineering Industries.
From 2016 to 2018, she was associated with Spectranet as lead-people and culture.
She switched to Rockman Industries in October of 2018, taking on the role of head-corporate human resources. Three and a half years later, she found herself heading HR for Sona Cornstar’s driveline business.
With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Arunima is known for her expertise in leading enterprise transformation, driving change through technology, and building agile, future focused organizations. She has successfully helmed large-scale HR functions across industries, with a strong focus on aligning people strategies to business growth both in domestic and international markets
Her latest appointment aligns seamlessly with Metalman’s ethos of organisational agility, talent excellence, and digitally-driven growth.
As the company—a global supplier to automotive OEMs, heavy fabrication and construction equipment industry—continues to expand its footprint across both domestic and global markets, Mohanty will be expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening cultural resilience, advancing leadership development, and embedding innovation throughout its human capital strategy.
