Voice-based proximity communication and payment service provider, ToneTag, has announced the appointment of Vigil M Thomas as its new HR head. In this new role, Thomas will be playing a crucial part in strengthening the human resource management, recruitment, performance management, competency mapping, and overall development of human capital of ToneTag. Thomas will also regulate and oversee the entire operations related to HR business partnerships, talent scouting, policies management, and employee engagement along with other HR conducts.
With over 17 years of experience in the HR domain, Thomas has extensively worked in the BFSI sector. Prior to this role, Thomas was associated with Axis Bank as its deputy vice president – HR. He is moving from Axis Bank after a long stint of ten years. He joined Axis Bank in 2011 as a senior manager-HR. Thomas also possesses expertise in new HR rules development, performance management systems, training management, competency enhancement, and career counselling.
After completing his MBA in HR, Thomas joined Motilal Oswal Financial Services in 2005 and worked with the Company for almost three years. Moving on in 2008, Thomas joined Reliance Capital as assistant manager-HR and after working with the Reliance Group for over a year, Thomas moved back to Motilal Oswal Financial Services in 2010.
Currently pursuing a doctorate in human resources, Thomas wishes to be “known as an empathetic human resources professional, a philanthropist, a mentor and a coach.” In his 17 years of experience in the banking & financial services space, he has worked with companies such as Axis Bank, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, and Reliance Money. “I am a firm believer in God who has always wrapped me with good and kind-hearted people so that I am always allowed to be myself.
