Consolidated, one of India’s authorised partners for Apple, has appointed Rohith Kumar as its new chief human resources officer. The announcement was made by Kumar on LinkedIn this week.
Based out of Coimbatore, Kumar will lead the people’s agenda across Consolidated’s iPlanet retail stores, service centres, and its enterprise and education business verticals. The company is currently on an aggressive expansion path, with a stated goal to grow 5x in the coming years while retaining its position as a leading Apple partner in India with a significant share of Apple’s business.
In his post, Kumar said, “Employee focus will be at the centre in this journey, to ensure we also become the best employer to work with.” He looks forward “to working with the team to bring the company’s vision to life”.
Kumar brings 18+ years of experience in retail, apparel, food and grocery HR leadership.
His career graph reflects deep domain expertise across large consumer-facing businesses. He began as a management trainee and HR officer at HyperCITY Retail between Jan 2008 and Apr 2010, handling generalist HR functions.
He then spent a decade at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail as head – retail HR from Apr 2010 to Mar 2020. A brief stint as head – offline business at Lenskart followed from May 2018 to May 2019. From Mar 2020 to Feb 2023, he was head of HR at SPAR India, part of Landmark Group.
Kumar moved to the QSR space as chief people officer at Hardcastle Restaurants, which operates McDonald’s in West & South India, from Feb 2023 to Feb 2025. Prior to Consolidated, he was CHRO at Arvind Fashions from Feb 2025 to Apr 2026.
With this appointment, Consolidated is betting on Kumar’s retail and people-transformation experience to support scale and employer branding as it expands.
