Comviva, a global AI-powered digital solutions company, has appointed Bhagwati Shetty as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). Shetty steps into the role with a clear mandate—to align the people strategy with Comviva’s ambitious global expansion, especially in Europe and North America.
Her focus will be on strengthening workforce capabilities, driving cultural transformation, and building a future-ready organisation. This move is part of the company’s broader transformation under its Comviva 2.0 vision.
Before joining Comviva, Shetty held key HR roles at the Mahindra Group, where she led significant DEI efforts across group companies. She joined the company in the year 2022 and lead many of its verticals as its head business-HR, including technology, strategy, audit, public affairs, risk, sustainability and HR.
She also worked with Vodafone India, Wipro, and Cummins India, playing critical roles in leadership development, change management, and organisational growth.
With more than 16 years of experience across manufacturing, technology, telecom, and financial services, Bhagwati is known for her inclusive leadership style and sharp HR acumen. Her expertise lies in people development, organisational design, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Speaking on her appointment, Shetty said, “I’m excited to be part of Comviva’s transformation journey. My aim is to build a culture where employees are empowered, inspired, and equipped to lead innovation. Together, we will foster a high-performance, inclusive environment that drives meaningful change.”
Rajesh Chandiramani, CEO, Comviva, also welcomed the new CHRO, saying, Shetty’s “leadership aligns perfectly with our values and global goals.”
