Agniwesh Thakur has joined Deloitte as the director of human capital advisory services. He will be responsible for driving HR technology transformation for client organisations and will be based out of Gurgaon.

Thakur comes with rich experience spanning 20 years. He gained this knowledge while designing and leading digital human resources for HR technology transformation for a variety of organisations. He was vice president, human capital management, with Accenture before he joined Deloitte. In his career, he has worked with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Infosys, Pune IT Labs, and others.

He is on the NHRDN Delhi NCR Chapter Board as the Young Talent Council Lead and Secretary.

Currently on the advisory boards of many business schools, Thakur is also the founder, trustee and former president of the Kadam Public Charitable Trust, which is an NGO in Hyderabad that educates children from the slums.

An alumnus of Delhi University, from where he graduated in economics, Thakur studied HRD and HRM at the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune.

His longest stint, of almost eight year, was with Accenture starting in 2015. There, he served as the associate manager of human capital management before being promoted to VP and head of human capital management. He successfully managed and improved HR business processes for Accenture’s customers and guided them to adopt the digital way of working.

Thakur started his career as an HR consultant at Competence HR in 2005. A year later, he moved to Pune IT Labs, where he worked as a founder and member of HR till 2006. Later on, he joined Infosys, where he started as a business partner in human resources before being elevated to the position of senior consultant in human capital management in 2011, a position he successfully held till 2014.

After working with Infosys for seven years and 10 months, he joined Dr Reddy’s Laboratories as a senior manager, for a brief stint of less than a year. There, he managed Global HRIT Systems and Analytics. He also looked at the SAP and successfully implemented Successfactors and rolled out R&R and employee feedback systems. He facilitated HR transformation by simplifying processes. Thakur assisted organisations in adapting and implementing digital HR solutions in order to improve their performance.
