    Faiza Mirza elevated to COO, WACE India

    Mirza was earlier heading strategic alliance for the globally-recognised senior secondary curriculum from the Government of Western Australia, which is now recognised in India

    Faiza Mirza will now lead the national operations and partnerships of Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE), the globally-recognised senior secondary curriculum from the Government of Western Australia, which is recognised in India. She has been elevated to the position of chief operating officer (COO) for WACE India. She is backed by over 12 years of leadership experience in education and organisational development

    In her elevated position, Faiza Mirza will accelerate WACE India’s strategic initiatives focused on curriculum integration, school capacity building, and teacher development, supporting the expansion of the WACE programme in 100 partner schools over the next three years.

    Mirza emphasised how WACE India’s vision is “to establish a government-backed International Board in India, making world-class education both accessible and inclusive”. She reiterated that WACE is “committed to ensuring that global learning standards resonate with India’s unique cultural and educational landscape. Through strategic partnerships and innovative frameworks, we are poised to transform how quality education is perceived and delivered across the nation, empowering students and schools to thrive in an interconnected world.”

    An alumna of Amity University and Kingston University, Faiza Mirza interned with Incite People, Greater London, United Kingdom for a while and even served as assistant e-mail marketing manager for incite new business. She handled business development and publicity for NutSpace from May 2014 to February 2019. About five years later, she moved to The Association of International Schools of India (TAISI ) as head of partnerships. Over a year into this role, she was elevated to the position of head of consulting, in 2024.

    April of 2025 saw her taking up the role of head-strategic alliance at WACE India, working out of Bengaluru.

    HRKatha wishes her all the best as she focuses on creating sustainable impact that redefines educational standards and drives systemic reform across India’s school ecosystem.
