Godrej Capital has appointed Bhavya Misra as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). In her new role, Misra will “collaborate with Team GC to take the organisation along the path of enabling everyone to grow to their fullest potential,” said the company in a LinkedIn Post.
Earlier the role was held by Ruhie Pande, who has moved on to Sterlite Power as G-CHRO.
Prior to joining Godrej, Misra was associated with Lenovo India as its HR director, based out of Bengaluru, for close to three years, starting 2021. She was responsible for driving and heading the people agenda at Lenovo India.
Misra comes with over 17 years of experience in HR, of which she spent over 11 years at PepsiCo. She was the HR business partner for commercial, finance and IT for Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, at Pepsico.
Additionally, she has worked across sectors including technology, FMCG and retail.
After completing her MBA in HR from MDI, Misra started her career with PepsiCo as a management trainee, in the year 2007. On attaining the level of plant HR manager, she moved to Bharti Retail (Bharti Walmart) in the year 2009,and worked there for close to two and a half years, as an HR manager.
In 2011, Misra returned to PepsiCo as manager- talent acquisition and steadily climbed up the ladder of success. Following a series of promotions, her last position at PepsiCo was that of HR director, in the year 2019. She held the role for almost two years and then moved to Lenovo India.
An alumna of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, Misra has completed a BSc (Hons)in Physics.
