Mishcon GCC has roped in Gunjan Dahiya for the role of vice president and head-human resources. She brings with her at least 17 years of comprehensive HR experience in dealing with the complex and dynamic business environments of global capability centres, tech-IP asset management, as well as life insurance and telecom sectors.

Dahiya has worked with Vodafone Idea for almost three years. She joined as senior management trainee-human resources (corporate office), in July of 2005. A year later, she was promoted to assistant manager-human resources (operations). Ten months into this role she was elevated to assistant manager-human resources (corporate recruitment). This role saw her moving from Pune to Mumbai.

March of 2008 saw Dahiya joining Bandhan Life, as manager-human resources (corporate office). Eight months later, she was promoted to manager-human resources (North zone). This elevation required her to move from Mumbai to Gurugram. Two and a half years later came another promotion that saw her essaying the role of senior manager-human resources (North and East zones). The next four years saw her handling performance management, talent management, vendor management, employee engagement, HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations and performance appraisal. In April 2015 came another promotion which made her the assistant vice president-human resources (North an West zones). By the time Gunjan Dahiya moved from Bandhan Life, in 2016, she had become the assistant vice president-distribution HR.

Dahiya’s next stop was Clairvolex where she joined as associate vice president-human resources. Almost three years into this role, she took a sabbatical for a little less than a year and a half. In March of 2021, she was back as vice president-human resources (global HR head). After a successful tenure of almost six years with the intellectual property services and IP software solutions firm, Gunjan Dahiya decided to head a venture called Rediscover Outdoors. She remained self-employed as head of human resources for almost two and a half years before taking up this new assignment at Mishcon GCC.

As per her social-media post, Dahiya will be “shaping the people strategy, fostering a dynamic workplace culture and driving talent excellence” as Mishcon tries “to establish and expand the GCC in India”.

Known to be a workaholic, her extreme dedication and ‘never say die’ attitude will be an asset to Mishcon.

Dahiya is looking forward to leveraging her “experience in building HR functions, scaling operations and leading cultural transformations to create a people-first, high-impact organisation.” She is eager to collaborate with “incredible talent and industry leaders to drive innovation, engagement and operational success.”

HRKatha wishes her all the best!
