    Gurpreet Singh appointed head of human resources, Wiom

    Singh has moved from Tata 1mg where he was director-human resources since 2022

    Gurpreet Singh, who was director-human resources, Tata 1mg, has now joined Wiom, as head-human resources.

    An engineering graduate from Panjab University, Singh has completed an MBA from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

    Singh began his association with Infosys as system engineer, in 2011. A little over two years later, he was elevated to senior system engineer.

    Between 2014 and 2015, he interned with POWERGRID, Lenovo and IndiGo, before joining Concentrix as manager, HR strategic projects, in April 2016. Less than a year and a half into this role, he was elevated to manager HR-Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. This role saw him leading theHR team and setting up the function from scratch for new business operations that were started in the ASEAN region. This included end to end HR process design and governance– onboarding, payroll, PMS, Rewards & Engagement, Discipline process, Separation HR policies design, as well asimplementation compliant with local laws. One promotion later, he served as senior human resources manager from 2019 to 2020.

    April of 2020 saw him joining Wingify as senior manager, lead talent management and HR projects. Amongs other responsibilities, he successfully aligned key HR policies and processes to a remote-first work culture. He also helped launch the employee assistance and wellbeing programme called Wingify Roshni. Then came an elevation that put him in the role of group manager, head-talent management and HR operations. In this role, he streamlined the PMS process and conceptualized the new manager capability-building programme.

    In November 2022 he moved to Tata 1mg, as director-human resources.

    Known to be a thorough professional with a cool and calm personality, HRKatha is sure that Gurpreet Singh will prove to be an asset to Wiom, a company that provides affordable and unlimited internet to middle and lower middle income households.
