Lenovo India has today announced the appointment of Bhavya Misra, HR director, Pepsico, as the CHRO. Misra will be based out of Bengaluru and will be responsible for driving and heading the people agenda at Lenovo India.

In her last role, Misra was the HR business partner for commercial, finance, and IT for Africa, Middle East, and South Asia, at Pepsico. She comes with a little over 13 years of experience in HR, of which she spent over 11 years at PepsiCo.

After completing her MBA in HR from MDI, Misra started her career with PepsiCo as a management trainee. On attaining the level of plant HR manager, she moved to Bharti Retail (Bharti Walmart) and worked there for close to two and a half years, as an HR manager.

In 2011, Misra again joined PepsiCo as a manager – talent acquisition and steadily climbed up the ladder of success. Following a series of promotions, her last position at PepsiCo was that of HR director.

Looking forward to the opportunity to be part of Lenovo’s “constantly growing and transforming team”, Misra, a physics graduate from St Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, aims to use her expertise “to partner with the business and create an impactful people strategy and talent programmes.” She hopes to “contribute meaningfully to the success of Lenovo and its vision for Smarter Technology For All.”

Subhankar Roy Chowdhury, executive director & head HR – Asia Pacific, revealed that Misra “will lead Lenovo India’s people strategy on its transforming journey from a global devices company to a technology leader in global devices + solutions, services, and software.” He expressed confidence that “her rich experience will strengthen Lenovo’s HR goals for India and elevate the people’s experience during these difficult times when HR as a function has taken a leadership role in navigating the pandemic.
