ManipalCigna Health Insurance, the Indian health insurance company has appointed Richa Chatterjee as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). She moves from India Infoline Finance (formerly Indian Infoline Investment Services) where she was president and CHRO.
An alumna of Lady Shriram College for women, Chatterjee obtained an MBA in human resource management and services from Management Development Institute, in 2006.
Her professional journey began with Tata Motors, where she was manager-corporate HR from June 2006 to August 2008. She then joined the Boston Consulting Group, as HR team leader, in September 2008. A little over three years into this role, she was elevated to manager. Working out of Mumbai, she partnered with the business in multiple senior HR roles including learning and development, employee engagement and integration, talent acquisition and setting up a new employee cadre for the business. She moved on from BCG in 2014, after a stint that lasted almost six years.
In 2014, Chatterjee took on the position of associate director-HR, Viacom18 Media. Less than two years into this role, she was elevated to senior director.
May of 2018 saw Chatterjee switching to Network18 Media and Investments as head HR, digital, print and publishing business.
It was in January 2022 that she came to be associated with India Infoline Finance as president and CHRO.
Known to have a strong all round grasp of processes, benchmarks and enablers for business growth, Richa Chatterjee is also admired for her composure and resilience in adverse circumstances.
