“After four unforgettable years” at Barclays, Aditi Mahadevan Nair, managing director and head of human resources, of the financial services institution has decided to move on. In her social media post, she says ‘it is time for me to turn the page on this chapter to write another one”, although she doesn’t reveal her next move.

Nair, an alumna of Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, began her professional journey with Bharti Airtel, as assistant manager-HR, in 2002. By the time she moved on from there, she had become manager-HR.

In February of 2005, she began a long association with Citi. She entered the organisation as manager-HR, consumer bank, Citi India. Less than two and a half years into this role, she was elevated to assistant vice president-consumer bank, Citi India. From January of 2009 to May of 2012, she served as vice president-rewards and benefits (India). Less than three and a half years later, she was promoted to senior human resources generalist-O&T, Citibank Singapore.

For the next almost three years, Aditi Mahadevan Nair supported the APAC technology & operations teams.

Her next elevation made her APAC head of talent, learning and diversity. By January of 2022, she had reached the position of chief human resources officer-India and South Asia, Citi.

Her extensive leadership and operational experience in strategic HR business partnering, compensation & benefits and talent management will stand her in good stead in her new role at Barclays.

HRKatha wishes Aditi Mahadevan Nair all the best!
