GroupM, a media-investment company, has appointed Madhvi Pahwa as its new chief people officer for South Asia. Pahwa moves from Mindshare, which is an agency of the GroupM network, where she was chief talent officer for over six years.

In her new role, she will head the GroupM India talent team and report to Prasanth Kumar, CEO GroupM South Asia.

This commerce graduate from Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), is also an alumna of IIM Ahmedabad. Having started her career as assistant brand manager at Procter & Gamble in 1994, she spent a decade at Coca-Cola India as GM-brands. It was in 2006 that she came to be associated with GroupM India, when she took on the position of managing partner – learning & culture. After over six successful years in this role, she moved to Maxus in 2012, as global talent director. For more than two years, she worked with the global leadership team at Maxus to shape the way the Company recruited, developed and motivated talent.

In 2015, this master practitioner – NLP, found herself at Mindshare, as the chief talent officer for APAC. Having successfully served this position for over six years now, Pahwa has been rightly elevated to the position of CPO – South Asia, GroupM.

Given her experience as business partner, facilitator, coach and trainer, her abilities will be an asset to GroupM. She will be stepping into the shoes of Rohit Suri, who plans to explore other opportunities.
