Mondelez International has named Aakratee Vajpai as talent lead for its AMEA region, effective July 2026. She will be responsible for driving talent strategy, leadership development and capability building across the company’s diverse markets in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Aakratee said she was excited to join the global snacking giant behind brands like Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Toblerone, Ritz and Jacobs. She noted that AMEA’s wide geographical spread presents a unique talent agenda, shaped by different market maturities and business needs, and expressed intent to work with local teams to build the capabilities required to support growth.

Aakratee joins Mondelez from The Coca-Cola Company, where she spent over 5 years starting as a talent consultant for ASEAN & South Pacific and India & South West Asia, focusing on talent solutions for key emerging markets, and then as the senior director, talent & development – Asia Pacific, from October 2023 to June 2026. In this position, she led regional talent and development initiatives from Singapore.

Before that, she worked at Jubilant FoodWorks as the head of talent, learning & OD and head HR for corporate functions, emerging businesses and international markets. As the VP- HR, she led the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for talent management, capability and culture. She started at Jubilant in September 2015 as HR Head for Dunkin’ Doughnuts India, managing full-cycle HR for the business until March 2017 gradually progressing to AVP-HR at Dunkin’ Doughnuts, heading the CoE.

Aakratee also held a 9-month role as head HR at Lenskart.com from December 2014 to August 2015, where she partnered with the co-founder to establish the HR function.

She began her career at Bharti Airtel as the HR head, Delhi Circle from July 2013 to December 2014, managing HR for mobile, broadband and DTH. Prior to that, she headed talent management from January 2012 to June 2013, senior manager for leadership & competency development from August 2009 to January 2012, and HR business partner from June 2006 to August 2009.

With nearly two decades of experience across FMCG, food service, e-commerce and telecom, Vajpai brings a strong track record in talent management and organisational development to Mondelez’s AMEA business.

We at HRKatha wish Aakratee Vajpai success as she dons a new cap!
