Neuberg Diagnostics Group, an Indian integrated diagnostics network, has elevated Kavya Velu to the role of president – strategy & operations.
Backed by about a decade of experience, Velu joined Neuberg in January of 2024, as vice president-corporate affairs. She had moved from Trivitron Healthcare where she had been serving as business development manager since June 2023, based out of the US.
An alumna of Sarah Lawrence College, New York, Kavya Velu’s first corporate stint was with Maxvision Super Specialty Eye Hospital where she served as sales and marketing associate for a short while, working out of Chennai.
She then moved to Trivitron Healthcare in June of 2016 and spent some time assisting in project work related to branding, image building, promotion, media planning, public relations and communication activities in the Chennai area.
She was appointed digital media manager, TiE New York in April of 2018. For the next five years, from 2018 to 2023, working out of the Greater New York City Area, she assisted the executive director, managed the members database, planned events and open mic nights and even created and managed content on social media among other responsibilities.
She was back with Trivitron Healthcare in June of 2023, taking up the role of business development manager in the US.
January of 2024 saw her in the chair of vice president-corporate affairs at Neuberg Diagnostics, the Chennai-headquartered diagnostic service providers known for pathology and genetic testing, with presence in India, UAE, South Africa and the US.
Kavya Velu has been successfully leading Neuberg’s strategic transformation into a process-first, scalable, and consumer-focused healthcare brand. In her elevated position, she will now oversee corporate strategy, operations, and organisational development, with a mandate to strengthen systems, drive IPO readiness, and deliver a consistent, world-class healthcare experience.
A Ganesan, vice chairman, Neuberg Diagnostics Group, is confident that Kavya Velu’s “leadership will play a pivotal role in positioning Neuberg as a globally-respected diagnostics brand”, because “she combines international exposure with strong operational execution and has already proven her ability to align systems, people, and purpose”.
She also serves on the board of Trivitron Healthcare and Maxivision Eye Hospitals as promoter and director. Currently, she is the convener of the Young Leadership Panel of FICCI Tamil Nadu, mentoring entrepreneurs and startups while contributing to Neuberg’s mission of accessible, innovation-led healthcare.
