    Ola’s SVP & group chief people officer quits

    Ola Electric’s N Balachandar has quit. He has recently founded Quickleap Management Consultants, where he is also managing partner.

    Balachandar had joined Ola Electric as the chief people officer in early 2021 and was elevated to the position of group chief people officer of Ola ANI Technologies in November 2021

    In the early years of his professional journey, Balachandar has been associated with ONGC, as labour officer, from 1998 to 1990. He worked with Asian Paints as human resources manager, from 1990 to 1995. He played principal consultant to Hewitt Associates from 1995 to 1997. The period from March 1997 to March 2000 was spent at Standard Chartered Bank, as HR head, consumer banking, India. This was followed by a stint with eVentures, as chief people officer, requiring him to work from Mumbai and New York. December of 2001 saw him joining GE Healthcare as VP-HR , Asia growth markets/Paris-international. The year 2006 was witness to him essaying the role of EVP-HR, Tokyo, Asia, GE Money. Three years later, in 2009, he moved to Strides Acrolab as CHRO for two and a half years.

    It was in 2012 that he began his association with the Café Coffee Day Group as group director-HR. This stint lasted almost a decade, before he joined Ola.

    Earlier this month, Ashish Thakur also resigned as the global service head and senior director, Ola Electric, to join joined TVS Motor Company.
