    Pranav Kumar, who was heading HR for Tata Motors, Pune, since July 2023, will now play head-human resources, Tata Motors, Jamshedpur.

    Kumar’s association with Tata Motors began in 2017, as deputy general manager: employee relations and CSR, Lucknow region. Less than three years into this role, he was made deputy general manager: employee relations and CSR, Pune area.

    In August 2022, he was elevated to general manager, employee relations and CSR, Pune. By July 2023, he had become head of HR, Pimpri, Pune (heavy commercial vehicles).

    Before joining Tata Motors, Kumar was associated with Tata AutoComp Systems, as general manager-HR, ER and Admin, for over nine years, from 2008 to 2017.

    Kumar had begun his professional journey in 1997, as office and manager-personnel and administration, Achal Industries. For a little less than seven years, he successfully handled overall HR, IR and safety of the plants. In 2004, he moved to Arihant Autocomponents, as plant HR and IR head. This was followed by a short stint with KLT Automotive and Tubular Products, as plant HR and IR head-human resources.

    Pranav Kumar, who holds a PG Diploma in personnel management and industrial relations, HR from LN Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Changes, has over 23 years of experience in end-to-end solutions for HR , ER, CSR and welfare.

    His strengths lie in organisation development, culture development, talent management, capabilities building and manpower building among other HR skills.
