Vastu Housing Finance has appointed Hamsaz Vasunia Wadhwani as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO).

Wadhwani brings over two decades of experience in human resources leadership, organisational culture, talent management, employee engagement and leadership development. Her appointment marks a return to corporate HR leadership following her entrepreneurial journey in organisational consulting and shared CHRO advisory services.

Before joining Vastu Housing Finance, Wadhwani served as chief executive of The 7th Fold from January 2020 to September 2026. She worked with individuals, teams and organisations on culture, performance, employee happiness and HR capability development.

Prior to this, Wadhwani spent over 10 years at DCB Bank as head-HR and training, from March 2008 to September 2018. She led the bank’s human resources function across India, overseeing business HR, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, HR relationship management, performance management and rewards. Her work focused on building a culture of performance, engagement and professional development.

Earlier, she served as associate director at EmmayHR Services, where she headed executive search operations across India. During her tenure from June 2002 to October 2007, she was responsible for senior leadership and CXO-level hiring across the services and manufacturing sectors.

Wadhwani began her career at WNS Global Services as a team leader, a role she held from August 1998 to June 2002.

Alongside her HR experience, Wadhwani brings an academic background in psychology and specialised training in mental health. She holds a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of Bristol, UK, and a Diploma in Human Resources from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

She is also a trained psychotherapist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and an executive coach, integrating psychological principles into leadership development, employee well-being and organisational culture initiatives.

Her experience across corporate HR, executive search and organisational consulting brings together strategic people management and a focus on human behaviour, employee well-being and workplace effectiveness.

Vastu Housing Finance Corporation is a Mumbai-based housing finance company focused on providing credit solutions to underserved and self-employed communities across India.
