    Priti Kataria moves from Wipro to Birlasoft as CHRO

    Kataria was associated with Wipro for over two decades—with her last designation there being senior vice president and CHRO-Wipro Enterprise Futuring—before she joined Birlasoft

    After over a two-decade long association with Wipro, where her last designation was that of senior vice president and CHRO-Wipro Enterprise Futuring, Priti Kataria has joined Birlasoft as chief people offficer (CPO).

    Kataria, an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, passed out of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 1998. The same year her professional journey began with Wipro, as senior executive, corporate HR.

    Less than two years later, she was elevated to regional resource manager-North and East. For the next two and a half years she was busy hiring from about 40 campuses across the northern and eastern regions of India. A promotion in 2002 made her regional HR manager-North. April of 2005 saw her elevated to head HR. In 2009, she was promoted to head-talent engagement and development, professional services division, Wipro Infotech. July of 2010 was witness to Kataria becoming general manager-talent engagement and development, professional services division.

    Two more promotions later, she ended up playing vice president and global HR head-global infrastructure services (GIS), Wipro. Additionally, she held the office of chairperson-Prevention of Sexual Harassment Committee(PSHC), for Wipro.

    Another elevation came by in 2016, whihc put her in the chair of vice president and global HR head–manufacturing and technology SBU, Wipro. By 2021 she was vice president and CHRO-iCORE, Wipro.

    In January 2023 she was promoted to senior vice president and CHRO-iCORE. Just four months into this role she was elevated to senior vice president and CHRO-Wipro Enterprise Futuring.

    After a long and successful association of over 25 years with Wipro, Priti Kataria will now lead the talent charter for Birlasoft.

    HRKatha wishes Kataria all the best in her endeavour to foster a high-performance culture, strengthen the employer brand, and drive an agile, people-centric organisation at the IT services and consulting firm.
