Priyadarshi Bhattacharya has been promoted to managing director, global head HR-group technology, strategy & transformation, and APAC countries at Swiss Re. He has been associated with the wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of risk transfer since July of 2020, when he joined as head of HR at Swiss Re India, based out of Bengaluru.
In less than five years, he was elevated to global head HR-group technology and transformation. This role saw him leading the people agenda across the Global Technology Group Function, championing change and building leadership capabilities, based out of Zurich, Switzerland.
After serving as a commissioned officer with the Indian Army for over six years, Priyadarshi Bhattacharya joined Aviva as human resources business partner in September of 2005. Three years later, he moved to Thomson Reuters as senior HR business partner based out of Hyderabad.
His next stop was HSBC in 2009, where he took up the role of head HR business partners and recruitment-global service centres, Hyderabad.
In October 2011 he was elevated to senior HR programme manager, working out of London.
After a four-and-a-half year long tenure with HSBC, Bhattacharya moved to ANZ, as head of HR divisional consulting (group hubs) and HRBP institutional banking. This role saw him based out of Bengaluru for over two years.
He was back in Hyderabad in April 2016, as head of HR, DBS Tech India. By August 2019, he had been elevated to country head of organisation development, talent management and L&D, DBS Bank.
His association with Swiss Re began after over four years.
Now, in his expanded role, he will continue as global HR executive being responsible for the people strategy, globally across group digital & technology, as well as group strategy & transformation functions. Additionally, he will lead the group people function across APAC, driving people strategy and enabling business performance across diverse markets, working out of Zurich, Switzerland.
